Twenty of Glenn Beck’s Reasonable Questions for Unreasonable Times

Twenty of Glenn Beck’s Reasonable Questions for Unreasonable Times
Why are Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh the only two media members with guts enough to ask the reasonable questions.

For a complete list see http://www.glenbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/29631

1. Why do we need a civilian force?

2. Who is posing a threat to us?

3. Who will this "force" be made up of?

4. Who is the real enemy?

5. Does the president know of a coming event? If not, who builds an army against an unrecognized enemy?

6. Why does it seem every member of the Obama advisory team hates capitalism, unless those companies (like G.E.) are in bed with the administration?

7. Who is "surrounding" the President in the White House?

8. Do any of the President's advisers have criminal records?

9. Are the President's advisers working to better the country or their own ideals?

10. What is the difference between a community organizer and a community activist?

11. Should a communist have the ear of the President of the United States?

12. Our unfunded liability for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid is close to $100 trillion. Is there any way to pay for these programs without bankrupting America?

13. We are in so much debt, why spend more borrowed money on cap-and-trade and healthcare programs before we stop the flow of red-ink?

14. The stimulus package funneled billions of dollars to ACORN. How does giving billions of dollars to ACORN stimulate the economy?

15. If it was so important for congress to pass the stimulus bill before they even had time to read it why has only a fraction of the stimulus money been spent 6 months later?
16. Bush said he had to abandon free market principles in order to save them, how exactly does that work?
17. Why won’t members of Congress read the bills before they vote on them?
18. Was the cash-for-clunkers program meant to save the earth or the economy? Did it accomplish either?
19. How did Van Jones, a self-proclaimed communist become a special advisor to the president?

20. If town hall meetings are intended for the politicians to learn what’s on our mind—why do they spend so much time talking instead of listening?

Say it ain't so, Rick

Say it ain’t so, Rick!!

I lived in Kentucky for seven years so I understand what it means to “bleed blue” . I was, and still am, a devout Kentucky Wildcat Fan. I have been since the Joe Hall days. I reveled in the success of Rick Pitino and admired him as a coach.

Then the news began to come like sand through a sieve. An affair. Adultey.. Unfaithful to his wife and family. Say it ain’t so, Rick, say it ain’t so.

Did Rick Pitino make a mistake? Yes indeed. Haven’t we all? My disappointment is not so much that he made a poor decision and created a tragedy for his family. I’m disappointed the path he chose after he’d made his mistake.

An intoxicated Rick Pitino impregnated a woman in 2003 on a restaurant floor! Intoxication doesn’t lend itself to good judgment. It’s what happened afterward while sober that is most troublesome.

Two weeks after the indiscretion the woman announced to Rick that she was pregnant. Pitino gave her $3,000 and she set out to abort the unborn child. Every coach prides himself in giving his players an equal opportunity to prove themselves and earn the right to play. But Rick never gave this child an opportunity. The child never received a name. The child was deprived of the life experiences he/she deserved. Rick Pitino could have swallowed his pride and become the loving father his child deserved. Instead, it was all about Rick. He was willing to sacrifice a life to save his career. He allowed the death of an innocent to secure his future. Rick behaved in a very cowardly fashion by hiding the truth from his fans, his family and himself for six full years.

It’s not so shameful to make a mistake. We’ve all sinned and come short of the glory of God. But it’s an abominable thing to sacrifice the life of an innocent infant to try to save one’s self. It takes a real man to confront the truth and accept consequences for his actions.

As a role model to so many youth who have no qualms about impregnating females and then refusing the responsibility of fatherhood, Rick Pitino has failed miserably. He had an opportunity to lead by example but instead he sent a message to young men that it is acceptable to end another soul’s existence in order to escape the consequences for your own poor behavior.

Say it ain’t so, Rick. Surely you didn’t finance the murder of another human being because it was too inconvenient for your career. Say it ain’t so!

He Was Who He Was

He Was Who He Was … Edward Kennedy

I find it so interesting that many of my High School apologetics students come into the class at the beginning of the year with the false conception that when humans die and go to heaven they become angels. I have been so taken back in the last couple months as I have witnessed the reaction of the masses to the deaths of Michael Jackson and Edward Kennedy. As if they were immediately transformed from human to angel at death. To add to the mystery there seems to be a collective amnesia that affects the majority regarding these two American icons.
Ted Kennedy, may he rest in peace, was a fascist leaning liberal who had no qualms about supporting a constitutional interpretation that legalized the mass murder of 40 million unborn babies in the last three decades in America. The crowd he ran with included extreme leftists like LBJ, Bill and Hillary and Barak Hussein Obama. I'm old enough to remember a drunken senator fleeing the scene at the bridge in Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts where his young female date was left to die in the murky waters. This is no hero, this is a coward!

Perhaps Ted Kennedy had good motives. He was a champion of the poor. He was a fighter for the underdog. But his policies are so clearly socialist in that he supported every effort to redistribute wealth. He didn't hesitate to take the hard earned money of the diligent and give it to many who were undeserving, all in the name of satisfying his constituents and assuring his reelection. He was also led the battle to legalize gay marriage and promote the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender society which enraged the Pope of the Catholic Church, not to mention God himself who clearly teaches that such activity is an abominable sin.

President Obama delivered a personal letter from Edward Kennedy to Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on July 10th of this year. Whoever released the contents of that letter will become a very, very rich man. Was he asking for forgiveness? Was there some last minute repentance going on? If so, Ted may very well be standing before a merciful and gracious God this very moment.

We are so quick to "exchange the truth for a lie." The truth is that Ted Kennedy stood up for the things that God stands against. Let us not make Ted out to be something that he was not. He was who he was.

I was surprised today when I learned that he was to be buried in Arlington Cemetery alongside brave and great men who fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifice for a country they believed in. Most of the policies Ted fought for are not building up our country, they are tearing it down. I didn't know he served in the military until I looked it up. He did serve a two year assignment as a guard at the Headquarters of the Allied Powers in France. A cush assignment secured by his manipulative father to keep him out of the Korean War in 1950.

I know I'll get a lot of negative reaction for this post. I don't despise Ted Kennedy. I actually feel sympathy for a family that has been so cursed and suffered so much. But, they are a family who father, Joseph, supported Adolph Hitler, whose brothers, JF and RF wiretapped MLK. They are a family accused of the murder of Marilyn Monroe. No, I'm not one of those right wing, fundamentalist wreaking with hatred for anything or anybody on the left. I'm just a seeker and defender of truth!!

Ellis Washington, of WND, posted this poem after expressing his disgust that Kennedy would be buried among the true defenders of America:

"Such desecration of hallowed ground.

A weed beside the rose.

Assured, not he with them would die,

Yet, worthy, thought he, with them to lie,

A coward beside heroes."

This sounds a little harsh but it sure makes one think.

I'm Not a Grandpa Yet...This doesn't look to promising!

How do we know what we know?

How do we know what we know, especially "religious truth"?
God alone is omnipresent and infinite in knowledge and truth. Men are finite and limited in their ability to acquire and understand knowledge. Our limitations were further complicated by the fall of man and his corruption by sin. Because of our sin nature, we tend to corrupt true knowledge and twist the truth. Indeed, we “turn the truth of God into a lie.”

Because it is our nature to corrupt truth and twist knowledge, we need supernatural intervention to arrive at the truth. This idea leans toward mysticism, or the availability of knowledge without effort. It seems there can be a mystic element in acquiring knowledge and truth but I don’t believe knowledge can be achieved without effort.

Do ideals exist in the world apart from our own thoughts and existence? Truth originates in an absolute God. Therefore, knowledge and truth existed long before man was created. Our effort is not to determine if it is real, our mission is to discover the truth and knowledge that is already there. How do we discover knowledge and truth?

The Skeptic says it can’t be done. They believe that actual knowledge and truth are not available to the human being. Some actually claim that nothing can be known.

The Empiricist believes that knowledge can only be acquired through our five senses. Aristotle was a proponent of this idea. Whatever enters the mind must first enter at the gates provided by the senses. The English philosopher, John Locke, took Aristotle’s theory and ran with it. He compared the mind to a blank sheet of white paper. When a person is born he knows nothing but throughout his life he fills in the paper by the experiences he has through his five senses. These philosophers believed that only the objects that were perceived by the senses actually existed. This brings to mind that age-old question, “Does a tree that falls in the forest make any sound if there is no one there to hear it?”

The Rationalist believes that the mind can perceive innate truths that are independent of our senses. The mind is capable of comprehending some abstract truth, perhaps, in a mystical or spiritual way. Plato believed that ideas existed independently of the human mind. There is a whole realm of knowledge and truth that exists out there and our mission is not to write knowledge or create truth but simply to discover it.

Surely, God gave us our five senses to help us interpret the experiences we have and these experiences help us to accumulate a volume of truth and knowledge but Ecclesiastes 3:11 states that God has “set eternity in the hearts of men.” Because men are created in the image of God they have a portion of eternity in their hearts. God seems a bit crafty here because he put within us a very strong desire to know him, to acquire knowledge, but he put limitations on our ability to gain knowledge. Therefore, we are always longing to know him more and more because that aspect of our nature can never be satisfied. Indeed, we will discover that an eternity is not enough time to learn what there is to learn about God.

"Wolf! Wolf!

Once upon a time there was a shepherd boy whose job was to watch the sheep. Feeling bored one day he decided to stir excitement. So, he cried, "Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is after the sheep!" The villagers came running only to find no wolf, only a mischievous little shepherd boy laughing at their angry faces. "Don't cry wolf, little shepherd boy, when there is no wolf." The boy repeated this little caper several more times enjoying his new found power to stir excitement and manipulate the village. Then one day, he saw a real wolf prowling among the sheep and he cried, "Wolf, Wolf" but no one responded.

Who would deny that racism still exists in this country? But we have surely come a long way when an African-American wins the presidency when 75% of those voting were white! There was a lot of speculation that the eternal wound that slavery cut into the heart of this nation would finally heal. Those hopes were soon dashed. Cries of racism have been heard more instead of less. We'll never eliminate racism by writing laws. How foolish to think so. Racism is not a political problem, its a heart problem that only the grace of God can remedy.

There are living among us certain charlatans who make pretty good money by pulling out an occasional race card. A local newspaper comes to mind. President Obama will experience his successes and also much failure. Every president gets a pretty healthy dose of both. But when Obama fails its just not cool to cry racism.

I saw a poster the other day of Obama made up to look like 'the Joker'. And someone cried "racism". MSNBC's Keith Olbermann would like to portray concerned Americans at Tea Parties as "racist". I'm not forgetting Hillary's quote, "I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration." How is it when a liberal disagrees its patriotic, when a conservative disagrees its racism?

MSNBC's host Carlos Watson compared the word 'socialist' which is being bantered about a lot lately at town hall meetings as the new "N" word. This is turning the soil and planting seeds of racism and hoping they will grow. I don't believe man can create something out of nothing but this comes mighty close.

The liberal word is that Obama's health care plan would benefit people of color most and any who oppose it must certainly be racists! Liberal shepherd boy, "Don't cry racism where there is no racism". Real racial hatred is the false cry of racism? To jeopardize a people of a certain race by trivializing their worst enemy is ultimately racist. What happens to those victims when real racism attacks and no one will pay any attention any more??

The Way He Looks At Us

The Way He Looks At Us
Peter stood in the court by the fire warming his hands. He had vehemently denied that he was a follower of the Christ. As he cursed an oath of denial a second time he heard the rooster crow and he was reminded of the words of warning Jesus had given to him earlier. Peter's continuous problem was his overconfidence and cockiness. He was the one who would walk on water. He was the one to draw his sword and swing at the Roman soldier. Now, the #1 disciple was the #1 failure.

Jesus was also in that courtyard. He was bound. His face was red and bruised having been struck by his hateful captors. He had been accused falsely and was about to stand before a judge and have his fate determined. A man in his position does surely have a right to be focused on his dilemma. He has a right to allow his mind to formulate a proper defense. But the focus on Jesus was on his wounded disciple. "The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter." - Luke 22:61

I remember a stern father growing up. My father could never have been accused of 'sparing the rod'. Yet, as much as I feared the rod I'd much rather have received a 'whippin' than to sit down and talk about it. It was altogether too painful to look at him and know I was the wayward son causing the disappointment in his eyes.

I'm sure Peter felt the same. Would he have not rather heard the Savior lash out at him with harsh words? Would he not have rather seen the cold shoulder of a Savior walking away? Instead, he looked directly into the eyes of a Savior who loved him unconditionally. What a wonder!! The great Creator of all things beautiful and awesome, whose eyes have beheld beauty we could never possibly imagine, chose to bypass the most glorious sights of the universe to cast his eyes on a wretched, miserable soul floundering about in a sewer of sinful muck. These are the eyes of the Savior who cried out to his own people, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.” - Matt. 23:37

Jesus could have reached out his hand to Peter but this would have exposed Peter for the liar he was. He could have spoken words to Peter but this would have embarrassed Peter and caused the crowd to assail the Savior. Instead, in all his wisdom, he just looked. Volumes could not have contained the message in his look!Did it affect Peter? Indeed it did, “And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.” - Luke 22:62

Men hear sermons and forget what they have heard before they sit down at their next meal. They read books and forget its message before delving into another. But no man ever forgets the look of Jesus. His look can transform a life. His look can change the direction of a life. His look can take one off the road to eternal death and put him on the road to eternal life!

I've seen him looking at me. When I was a rebel, lost in my disobedience he looked on me with eyes of compassion. He wanted to forgive me. He wanted to take me back under his wing. He wanted me to come back into the fold. I've never seen a look of such love. His look transformed me.

If you are a Christ follower today, you too have seen his look.

Second Chances

It's never to late to turn over a new leaf. Deciding to do something different to make your life or the lives of others better is a noble thing to do. Second chances are a wonderful demonstration of the grace of God in our lives. I've certainly benefited from second chances in my life journey. My second chance verse is Joel 2:25 "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten"

Peter got a second chance as did Jonah. David prayed for a second chance: Psalm 51:12 "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." Nearly every Bible hero you can think of received a second chance and an opportunity to turn over a new leaf. It's not a shame to benefit from being offered a second chance, it's mostly the norm.

George Bush got a 2nd chance in 1994. Ted Haggard is presently on a second chance tour to apologize for his failures. It seems Michael Vick is going to get a second chance. We are admonished over and over in God's word to be compassionate and lift up those who may have fallen. We are not to judge or condemn, we are to restore.

I found this poem which inspired me at the beginning of another school year.

He came to my desk with quivering lip...
"Dear Teacher I want a new leaf," he said,

"I have spoiled this one."

I took the old leaf, stained and blotted,

And gave him a new one all unspotted,

And into his sad eyes smiled,

"Do better now, my child."

I went to the throne with a quivering soul..

The old year was done.

"Dear Father, hast Thou a new leaf for me?

I have spoiled this one.

"He took the old leaf, stained and blotted,

And gave me a new one all unspotted,

And into my sad heart smiled,

"Do better now, My child." ----- Kathleen Wheeler

He is a God of second chances. Go ahead, turn over that leaf.

Why Nothing Out of Something

Why Nothing out of Something

Why do we have children? Because there is within us an innate desire and generosity to begin life. We want to relive our lives again through our children. It might be about 2nd chances. We hope they won’t make the mistakes we’ve made. We hope they

will have more prosperity and more success than we have had.
Why did God create us? To say he created us simply to bring glory to himself hints that he is selfish instead of selfless. It wasn’t because he was lonely! The trinity is complete and the separate entities complement themselves perfectly so that to suggest that God was lonely seems certainly absurd. Might he have created us because of his abounding generosity?
Someone asked theologian Paul Tillich is his youth, “Why something out of nothing?” What was God thinking when he decided to spawn new life from nothing? That question prompted Tillich to launch out on a long quest to understand the nature of God.
Long ago, when there was nothing but God, God must have been prompted by his own generosity, his own goodness. The wonder of his existence was too good to keep to himself. So, he created. He emanated from himself the gift of life. He created man in his own image. He wanted others to know the wonder of existing, of thinking and being and doing.
I find myself struggling sometimes with the unfairness of life, the injustices of the world in which I live. Sometimes, I even struggle with the apparent unfairness of God himself. My problem is that I frame the terms defining fairness with a finite mind and apply them to one who is infinite. The injustices of this world are more than neutralized by the grace of one who gave me the wonderful gift of existence. When we learn to simply appreciate the fact that we have the gift of life then we can minimize the unfairness and begin to share life generously with others as God chose to share life with us.

Too Busy

Michael Scott Speicher died January 17, 1991. LCDR Speicher was the first combat casualty of the Gulf War. When he deployed, he and his wife, JoAnne, had two children, a three year old daughter and a one year old son. After 18 years, “Scott” Speicher’s remains were recently found buried in the sands of Iraq. He had been buried by nomads who found his body. He was flown home and laid to rest with the military honors he earned so bravely.
It seems our president was too busy to even notice. It would have been a nice gesture, even politically expedient for Barak Obama to honor this man and communicate some comfort to the family. Too busy, I guess. He has recently participated in a score of town meetings. He and his family vacated to the Grande Canyon and Yellowstone National Park. He gave a major speech in Cairo, sent video messages to the Iranians, invited a couple guys to the White House for a beer, he even appeared on some late night television shows.
He has traveled to England, Rome, Mexico, Germany and numerous other countries. He has taken his wife on dinner dates to Chicago and New York City. He has time for all sorts of business and even family leisure but not a minute of his time could be taken to honor a man who died for the ideals that have made America great, who died for the very concepts that gave a man like Obama the opportunity to be president of the United States.
A simple “thank you” would be nice to hear from our president. Come to think of it, I can’t recall that I’ve ever heard our president publicly praise our valorous defenders of liberty!
Six courageous military personnel sacrificed their lives for the country they love last week!! Does their sacrifice have any impact at all on this White House???

I'll Decide for Myself, Thank You.

It's as American as apple pie, hot dogs and baseball. It is a distinct character trait of the typical American. It is what we've been about since we told the British no to the tax on tea. Americans love to make choices!!

We want to choose the schools our children attend. We choose our spouses. We choose which church to attend. We love choices. The multiple listing available on our cable and satellite televisions can drive us to the verge of insanity, but we want 500 channels to choose from. My wife often asks what I want for supper.

Sometimes I pull down the candy dish and watch as my four year old delights in making a choice. It took me eight months to choose which house to buy. We bought a new car last year and we have been very happy with our choice of a Honda CRV. I am so glad I chose teaching for a profession in my younger years. I've been teaching for decades and I still love it! We know the joy of choosing here, one of the most fulfilling choices my wife and I ever made was to adopt a son.

Americans aren't too crazy about having their choices limited or taken away from them. We're troubled when we have no choice in how much we are forced to give the government. Its disturbing to us that we pay into Social Security our entire lives and then we get only a fraction of that amount back because the government decided to use those funds for other purposes. We get angry when someone tells us we can no longer choose our own physician, when our tax money is spent on buying new jets to transport our political leaders about the country instead of for more worthy causes. We love being able to choose who are representatives in government are but we get agitated when they vote on bills without even reading them. When the government steps in to offer to help us with our end-of-life decisions, we don't interpret that as compassion, we interpret that as arrogance and interference.

Americans love to make choices and we're looking forward very much to the choices we will make in November of 2010 and 2012!!

While you were sleeping

Some of the best things in life come while we are sleeping. For instance: Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. Sometimes tragedy strikes those who sleep. Many people lay their heads down at night expecting to awaken the next morning and they never do. They just die in their sleep. On April 26th, 1984, a troubled 16 year old boy from Jackson County, Oregon, entered his parent's bedroom and clubbed them to death with a baseball bat. On December 30th, 2008, five sleeping Palestinian sisters perished during and Israeli airstrike in Gaza.

Is tragedy striking our Republic while we sleep? In the last ten months we've endured three devestating strikes to our freedom and liberty and for all intents and purposes it does seem that we were asleep at the wheel when the train left the tracks.

Strike One: The Bailout Fiasco. Trillions of dollars unaccounted for. A manufactured panic to save the economy from certain destruction. We sold our souls to the company store. We sold the future of our children down the river. Sadly, it was done under the watch of a Republican president who should have known better but who was no more fiscally responsible than his Democratic counterparts.

Strike Two: Cap and Trade. A global warming tax will not only take more economic freedoms away from us, it will ensure that the American economy continue to be a consumer economy dependent on foreign production rather than an independent producer economy.

Strike Three: Obama's Health Care Reform. The government's bailout scheme has made it sole owner of 30% of the economy. Considering the U.S. Government couldn't run a lemonade stand efficiently, many of us are not comfortable giving Washington 30% of our economy. If the National Health Care Plan passes, the U.S. Government will control 48% of the economy. If you think we'll get any of that back I've got a snowmobile shop to sell you in Hawaii.

Maybe you didn't know that Americans are now required to buy only compact flourescent light bulbs. Your government made that decision for you through the Energy Independence and Security Act...while you were sleeping.

More government evasion...President Obama wants to expand the questions asked on the 2010 census form. Don't be caught sleeping...the U.S. Constitution requires that you only tell them how many people live in your household.

Wake up, America. Liberty, freedom and independence can slip away while you are sleeping.

Where are all the men?

Why is it the church no longer seems to stir the masculine heart? Why is it that Jesus is portrayed as a meek, humble man wearing a robe. As a boy, did he ever throw a rock at the neighbor’s donkey? Did he ever compete with his friends? Did he ever pull a prank on his siblings? Did he ever refuse to eat his broccoli? How is it that we have devised such a passive image of the Son of God, who will return as a master warrior to conquer the earth!!

Are men turned away from the church because the church is so passive? We gather several times a week, sings lovely songs and talk about love. Aren’t most men drawn to risk and challenge? Most men don’t want to wear a robe and sing in a choir…but a lot of men would love to go to Hondurus and build a church or go to Mississippi with chain saws and clean up after a hurricane.

It’s hard for a man to fit in to the feminine mode of the church. Men don’t cry easily. Men don’t care to hold hands. It’s even a bit awkward to hear about falling deeply in love with another man (Jesus). The Jesus who loved a small child on his lap is also the Jesus who cleared the temple of the money changers. The Jesus who submitted to the scourge of the Roman soldiers is also the Jesus who caused the earth to quake when he rose from the dead. This is the Jesus who instructed his disciples to bring their swords with them. This is the Jesus who said of John the Baptist, perpetual camper in the wilderness, eater of grass hoppers and model for a style of clothing most wouldn’t be caught dead wearing, “Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist”

I believe Christian men need to share a masculine Christ with masculine men. It should be our mission to do all we can to reverse the feminization of our male children by our perverted culture. Model a real man for your sons, no, not Spiderman, Jesus Christ. Teach your sons to reject passivity. Give them experiences and opportunities to develop courage. Teach them to be responsible protectors of the weaker ones that will huddle under their wings.

Where are all the men? Only 40% of the people going to church on any given Sunday are men. 70% of the boys will eventually leave the church. In Europe, women outnumber men 9 to 1 in the church. Women now outnumber men in Christian universities 2 to 1. The church needs men and men need the church. If we don’t do something quickly to reverse these trends, the church will succumb to its apathy.

Hillary's Anger

Hillary Clinton was participating in a town hall meeting in the city of Kinshasa, Congo on Monday, August 10th. A student asked her a viable question about what her husband thought about the Chinese trading with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Claws extended from her hands and Hillary bared her teeth as she replied, “You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? My husband is not secretary of state, I am. If you want my opinion I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband.” The young student had been scratched, bit and body slammed.
Why was Hillary so touchy about a good question? Her husband was president of the United States for eight years. Would he not be a very good source for information about trade, especially with China. He was very skilled at trading with China. Wasn’t he the president who traded away our satellite technology to the Chinese, enabling them to develop long range missile capabilities, in return for getting a little illegal financial help in his re-election bid?
As a loving wife, wouldn’t Hillary jump at the opportunity to brag a little about the husband she loves so dearly. Isn’t that what couples generally do. When they marry, they become one in body and spirit, what helps one helps the other. What hurts one hurts the other. So, why did Hillary react the way she did?
Was she angry that Bill’s trip to North Korea, to rescue two damsels in distress, of all things, upstaged her trip to the Congo. Is Hillary angry because Obama isn’t giving her the time of day? Why wasn’t she chosen for the rescue trip to North Korea? Instead, she finds herself swatting at mosquitoes in the god-forsaken jungle.
She is on a noble rescue trip. She is there to single-handedly end the fighting and sexual abuse that is rampantly prevalent in this African continent. Great reform is coming because she is holding a check for billions from the U.S. Treasury (taxpayers) and she has firmly and boldly told them to “stop it.”
No one is noticing because they're shining the spotlight on the man she determined years ago to stand by'

They just might self-destruct

Lee Atwater was a skilled political street fighter. His candle was brilliant but it burned out early. He died of a brain tumor at the age of 40. He was a proven Republican strategist for Bush senior. He used the term "Napoleonic Maxim" to refer to the idea that one should never interfere with the enemy when he's in the process of destoying himself. I wonder what Lee Atwater would advise Republicans in regard to the Obama health care plan. If the Republicans would stop raising such a stink Obama may be cutting his own throat for his reelection chances in 1012. If Republicans would just let the train rush on down the tracks would the Democratic Congress not wreck before the election of 2012? Would retaking the Congress be a cinch for Republicans after the Democratic White House and Congress ramrodded their plan down the throats of unwilling Americans?

The impetus that caused the American people to elect the Gingrich congress of 1994 was Hillary Healthcare fiasco presented in 1993-1994. Bill Clinton won relection but he had to lean very heavily to the right in order to get it done.

The Democratic Party is governed by its radical left leadership. But America has a moderately right of center population. If Obama gets elected to a second term, be afraid, be very afraid. Bill Clinton was his true left leaning self during his 2nd term evidenced by the passing of such laws as the Partial-Birth Abortion Law and Supreme Court Appointments that tipped the political balance very, very leftward.

Republicans opposition of Obama's healthcare bill may be paving his way toward a second term!

What Happened to my Country?

What Happened to my Country?
I don’t remember who said it but it seems relevant in today’s culture: “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean your wrong.” As I observe the demise of western civilization I feel I’m in a surreal world. We have run far off course from the intent of our founding fathers. They intended government to be lean, limited and subservient to its population. If government became too intrusive one could always pack up the family and head to the frontier. There is no longer any frontier. We must stick it out where we are. If you’ve had thoughts of moving to Canada or Australia, prepare for more of the same. There is no where to run.

Our government is now like a giant leviathan, a behemoth, like a dinosaur grubbing up tons of foliage in an ancient world. Its appetite for power is voracious. All reason has been put aside. The lust for power has ushered in policies that are illogical and detrimental to society. Their eyes are blinded by their own derision. They wallow in the muddy waters of delusional self-importance. They now run our auto-industry. They want to run our health care. They’ve failed so miserably in their attempt to run our educational institutions that the U.S. is falling behind countries like Saudi Arabia and Vietnam in our ability to educate our youth. Homeschooling is mushrooming in protest of the dumbing down of America’s youth.

I admit it, I feel paranoid. But I know a cure. If the government would stop trying to take my cabinet full of guns, if they would stop reaching in my pocket for every spare coin I have, if they would actually read the bills they pass in Congress. I wouldn’t feel so paranoid if they would stop accusing me of being a terrorist because I think immigrants should enter this country legally. Nor would I be so paranoid if they would stop accusing me of being a homophobe because I believe the Bible speaks the truth when it says God hates all sin, including homosexuality.

My sense of paranoia may be cured if they would stop using derogatory terms like “tea bagger” and “mob member” to describe me when I join a public protest. I’m dubbed a woman-hater if I voice my opposition to abortion. I feel like a bale of hay full of target arrows. Why is it that politically correct speech only seems to go in one direction?

Am I paranoid? If I were not I wouldn’t have this feeling like writing these things and publishing them on the internet puts me on a government list somewhere. Is it time to grab our pitchforks and man the hay wagons yet?

Obama denies what Americans want most.

Obama denies what Americans want most.

At the end of his beerfest on the White House lawn last Thursday, President Obama said, “Its an attempt to have some personal interaction when an issue has become so hyped…that you lose sight of just the fact that these are people involved, including myself, all of whom are imperfect, and will hopefully instead of ginning up anger and hyperbole, everybody can just spend a little bit of time with some self reflection and recognizing that other people have different points of view.”
Nearly half of Americans disapproved of how Obama handled this situation. Perhaps his words are an indication as to why so many Americans disagree. His statement includes a lot of truth. We are all imperfect, anger has been ‘ginned’ up, and its very good for people to participate in self-reflection. Socrates said as much, “…the unexamined life is not worth living.”
I think the key issue in this ‘teaching moment’ was tolerance. Obama said it was good to recognize “that other people have differing points of view.” Its all about accepting the opinions and actions of others and then ‘getting back to work tomorrow’. Many Americans disapprove because they have a real commitment to justice. Regardless of race, or power, or position…someone was right and someone was wrong. Those who believe in absolutes want the one who was right to be vindicated and the one who was wrong to be reprimanded.
Obama could show great strength by standing up for what he thinks is right and letting the chips fall where they will. To cover the whole episode with a relativistic viewpoint that promotes the idea that no one here is right and no one is wrong deprives us of our need to realize justice being done.
The philosopher Helvetius said, “When I speak I put on a mask. When I act I am forced to take it off.” Obama’s approval ratings are plummeting because he is now being evaluated by his actions rather than his words. His actions prove him to be nothing at all like his words portrayed him to be.
Obama is a relativist. He denies the existence of that which Americans want most: absolute truth.

Liberty Counsel's Overview of H.R. 3200

Click on the title to read this unbelievable bill. The fact that the U.S. Congress is seriously considering this outrageous piece of legislature is an indication of just how socialized they would like for us to become. This is U.S.A., not Stalingrad.
For easy reading of H.R. 3200 -- this is the overview compiled by Liberty Counsel

Big Brother's Brave New World

Big Brother's Brave New World

Most of the members of Congress haven't even read the 1,000 plus healthcare plan proposed by Obama and his minions. The frightening thing is that most American's are detached from what is being boondoggled through Congess. For those of you who are interested in some of the more disconcerting parts of the bill, consider this:

Section 163 = Big Brother will be allowed to have access to an individual's personal finances through direct access to your bank account for electronic funds transfers.Section 1308 = Big Brother wil dictate marriage and family therapy.

Section 1401 = Big Brother will get even bigger by creating another agency called the Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research. This agency will determine if one qualifies for treatment. To qualify the treatment has to be 'comparatively affective'. Eligibility for treatment will be determined by the cost of the treatment, the likely success of recovery and the number of quality years one has left. This bill will cover abortions, suggest how many children a family can have, suggest the amount of time passed before having another child and it will also cover transexual surgeries. And we thought China's 'one child' policy was repressive?!?

Obama's choice for 'Science Zsar' is John Holden. He is way out there. Holdren has left a long paper trail indicating his radical ideas. Among them...he suggests forced abortion and compulsory sterilization to achieve population control. This could be achieved by implanting sterility capsules in teen-age girls and tainting the water supply with additives that cause sterility. Holden believes that laws requiring forced abortion would be sustained by the U.S. Constitution as it is written. If you happen to be 65 or older you will be required to undergo mandatory 'end of life' counseling. In less than two years a huge number of baby-boomers will be drawing on the nation's social security fund. To lessen the huge impact this will have, older people will be counseled to do their patriotic duty to contribute to the economic health of their posterity by boldly and bravely going on to the next world. If you fail to cooperate your assets could be confiscated in the name of fiscal necessity for the good of the country.

Section 440 = Big Brother will provide a Home Visitation Program for familes with children or those expecting children. Just what we need, some government bureaucrat sitting on our sofa advising us not to spank our children.

On page 425 of this bill Congress will require a counseling session every five years for people on Medicare. I'm sure they are going to advise them how to end their lives sooner. This is the result of a nation who has taken God out of the schools, out of the courts, even out of some of our churches. Sanctity of life has no meaning to these people. They feel justified in what they are doing because it fits their philosophy of survival of the fittest. Darwin sure has messed us up!!The entirety of this bill can be found on the web. Its contents are shocking to say the least. God help us if it is passed.

Lack of Compassion?

This picture is troubling
Sargent James Crowly, Henry Louis Gates and Barack Obama have just finished their 'beer summit' at the white house. Barack sits down with two adversaries, they down a couple of beers and all is well in Cambridge. So easy. I'm sure this summit will go down in history as one of Obama's greatest achievements. I expect peace in the Middle East is just around the corner...Ahmadinejad, Netanyahu, Obama and a few beers...finally, peace on earth. Obama's legacy will be his beer diplomacy.
The picture is troubling because Obama is rushing ahead to declare his beer summit a smashing success to press members while Sargent Crowley, the accused racist, is assisting Henry Gates as he gingerly makes his way down the stairs. You would think that compassion would trump politics here but it appears Obama is much more interested in self-promotion than demonstrating compassion. Maybe we are being unfair. I don't know Obama personally so he may be a very, very compassionate man. But, in politics, appearances are everything. I'm surprised this picture was released.
